A Love Revolution

Valentine’s day is almost here and ‘LOVE ‘ is in the air… Or is it?  What exactly is this thing called ‘love’ that  has everyone in hot pursuit? The world has distorted and commercialized love to such a degree it is almost unrecognizable. We need A Love Revolution!

Love can’t be bought. It doesn’t come wrapped in a box, or eloquently spoken through words on a card.  It isn’t found in magazine pictures, or on the big movie screens, and love doesn’t need to be earned! Authentic love is a gift, a gift that merely needs to be received.

We can ALL experience a love which is pure, honest and unconditional. A love which operates on a system far beyond earthly understanding. It’s a love that can never be destroyed, it will never abandon, it will never reject.  It’s a love that will outshine any other form of love you have ever imagined or experienced.

This trustworthy love will rock your world! A love that will keep you longing for more of its splendor.

A love that holds you close in the toughest hours and delights with you in glorious moments. A love that expels loneliness, shame, guilt, fear, and unworthiness. It is a love that shines in any darkness; its light can not be diminished.

This love is ever present, it flows with power that is impossible to stop. It is timeless, even death cannot separate you from this love. It is all satisfying, and will right every wrong. It stands strong in the face of adversity. 

This intense love is attainable!  It is not found in  your spouse, children, family or friends. It is not encased in your career or your possessions. There is only one person who is capable of loving everyone at all times…This authentic love is found in God ( 1John 4:16).

You and I need not search for His love, there is a standing invitation from God to receive this free gift. He is the author of love. His love is patient, and kind. It does not envy, it is not boastful, nor is it proud. His love is honoring and not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. His love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. His love always protects, trusts, hopes and always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

God is an Agent of Love. Love is His Nature (Deuteronomy 7:9). The power of this love can rescue you from the deepest pit and set your world aglow. It will enable you to ‘love’ others in ways you never thought possible. If you are seeking a life of purpose… Choose a life which demonstrates God’s love.

You can become the hands, feet, and mouthpiece of God, to a world starving for genuine love. Not in your own ability, yet empowered by God.  God’s love, working in you, and through you, will transform your life. It will inundated your marriage, family, church, community and the world around you.

Investing in your love relationship with almighty God is the best endowment you could ever make. Be encouraged to slip quietly into the gentle loving arms of your heavenly Father. He has much He wants to teach you about His Love. 

I too, am still learning of the depths of this great love! I have been aware of  God’s love for a number of years, and I thought I had a good grasp on His love for me, that was…until last month. I was in a time of fasting. During this segregated time with God, He revealed  new dimensions of His love towards ME! I wept, as I sat in His presence, receiving all the love He was freely pouring out upon me. I am forever changed!

It is impossible to be in the presence of an all-knowing, all-loving God and remain the same. In a few short weeks, God has drawn me ever closer into His loving embrace. He desires to do the same for you! No matter how long you have been in a loving relationship with God, He wants to take you deeper!
