The Battle Has Intensified

Fear, hatred, division, and selfishness, abound in our very own communities spreading throughout the world like a wild fire. There’s only one origin of this evil doing—satan. His sole purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. He will stop at no end to accomplish this goal.

Christians have a choice to make. We can fall into his traps, be deceived, and forfeit our God given position of victory, or we can come out of hiding and fight as the victorious warriors we were created to be.

I for one am tired of watching Christians hide behind their faith as a badge of honor, rather than using it as the weapon for which it was designed. Christianity was never intended to be a religious label on display to make us feel righteous. It is, and has always been, a symbol of great strength and impact. It’s time for followers of Jesus Christ to arise and take our rightful position in the army of God.

We are created to be strong warriors, equipped for battle, yet we sit back and allow the enemy to destroy our families, communities, and the beautiful world around us. Now is the time to join forces, under the mighty banner of love, empowered by our God-given authority, and take back what the enemy has stolen.

Victory is attainable, not in our own strength, not by our own devices, but by the Spirit of God. We must fight according to God’s strategic plan. We have listened to the voices of the governing authorities of this world and allowed them to dictate how we should live, while discounting the voice of truth. In doing so, we have caved to the pressure to stay under cover, nestled cozily behind the four walls of our church buildings, all the while losing valuable territory to the forces of evil.

We have allowed the church at large to become a storage house of unused weaponry. Consequently, we are reaping the benefits of that poor choice. The world in which we travel daily has become a war zone dominated by the enemy, as we sit idle having the ammunition to wage a battle he cannot withstand.  It’s time to forcefully take our positions on the battlefield.

Do not be deceived, the invisible enemy is not Covid-19, racism, or politics–the voice of truth has identified him as satan. To disregard this fact is to remain in ignorance and a victim of circumstance—enough is enough.

For generations we have been the silent majority—the time is now to arise as the mighty army of God that we were created to be.

We have been given our marching orders and no earthy government dictates them. They come from the ultimate commander in chief—God. They have prevailed for over 2000 years, and when engaged, will bring down the forces of evil.

If you are a believer, a follower of Jesus Christ, you are enlisted in His army, and you have access to the most powerful spiritual weapon—faith in action.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵ and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6:10-19NIV).

We look to the police departments, and governing officials to protect us, all the while we are the army equipped to defeat the schemes of the enemy. Let us be alert, our enemy is not one another, never has been, never will be. Arise army of God laser focused on the true enemy.

Everyone is needed, the battle has intensified. We are loosing mighty generals because our reinforcements have not taken their rightful places in battle. The fire of hatred and division will continue to spread unless we war against it with all of our warriors—that’s you and me.

The time is now—there is a world crying out for help—activate your faith and let’s take up our armor. It’s time to fight the enemy with God’s strategic plan.
